Thanks to the recent data release from the Gaia space mission (ESA) and other surveys, we have a broader and more precise view on asteroids in all groups across the Solar System. I will present recent results obtained for the study of binary asteroids with future programmes of stellar occultations and mutual phenomena, and developments on risk assessment for Near-Earth Objects.

报告人简介：

Pr. Daniel Hestroffer, engineer degree from the ENSAM, PhD. in astronomy and celestial mechanics (1994),  is a senior astronomer at the Paris observatory - université Paris Sciences & Lettres (France). He joined the observatory after post-doctoral experiences at ESA/ESTEC space agency (NL) and Turin observatory (IT). Member of several societies in astronomy and planetary science, he has been — over the years — director or vice-director of several departments, Institute, and pole at Paris observatory, as well as president of the IAU Division on Fundamental astronomy.

       Specialist in space astrometry and dynamical planetology of Solar System Objects and small bodies (from nearby NEOs, to distant TNOs), he has participated to several observational programmes from space and ground, and in particular to the data reduction and analysis for the Hipparcos and Gaia ESA space missions.
